If you have unhappy feet, in need of expert care, call us today!
Hi I am a small practice covering Hornchurch, Upminster and surrounding areas. I am a qualified, fully insured and registered Foot Health Practitioner, I am trained to assess and treat recognised foot problems/conditions or refer to other professionals if required. I offer convenient, friendly and flexible appointments within your home to suit your lifestyle.
I have previous experience of working in the health sector as an auxiliary nurse and in the education system. I am friendly, caring and able to assist people who have mobility issues, are bed bound or have learning difficulties. I am also Deaf Aware and a Communication Support Worker (CSW) with Level 2 British Sign Language (BSL), I am happy to assist people within the d/Deaf Community.
Professional foot care can help maintain mobility (which in turn impacts on exercise, circulation, mental health etc), your independence and ultimately your quality of life.
Patients often ask what the difference between Chiropodists and Podiatrists and Foot Health Practitioners (FHP). The 2 former are simply different terms for the same professional. They are trained to degree level, can do surgery under anaesthetics and can prescribe medicines. FHP's are qualified to assess and treat all essential foot care including the diabetic foot. Some FHP's partner with or support Chiropodists and Podiatrists.
At your first appointment I will assess your foot-care needs and then carry out a standard foot-care treatment which consists of trim and file of the toenails, reduce/shape thickened nails, hard skin reduction and application of appropriate medicinal products. Treatments for other conditions (see list below) will be carried out if appropriate, with your consent.
I look forward to welcoming you and providing you with the highest standards to foot care.
Ms Frances Low, RFHP, SAC. Dip.
